I hope the administration is working some behind-the-scenes strategy to marginalize the influence of Iran in Iraq. The information in this article does not bode well, especially for the south.

It does come down to marketing. There is no question, objectively, that the United States has done more for the people of Iraq than any other nation in its history. But the old maxim "perception is reality" always holds true. It's what the average Iraqi sees on a day-to-day basis that matters.

We need to be seen as more than liberators - we need to be seen as builders.
