It may be impossible to halt patients who have been conveyed a contractual right by their insurance companies to certain dollar amount of drugs and doctor visits, but the providers can counter this (and increase their profit margin) by providing the same service with less cost. The kiosk concept may alleviate some of the financial strain.
As Prof. Cornwall notes, this is something Ben Cunningham, of Tennessee Rax Revolt, has been advocating. Go Ben!
