So, I was watching the convention through RealPlayer on my computer at work today (shh ... don't tell).  I was once again enthralled by the incredible hypocrisy of the party's mouthpieces.  The interim president of NARAL was telling the delegates that individuals are better equipped to make decisions about their bodies and their lives than the government.  Can you think of another topic on which the Left would defer to the individual over the nanny-state government?  Hmmm ... hiring policies?  Well, no.  How about saving for retirement?  Nope.  People can't be trusted to plan and save.  That's insanity!  Certainly, at the very least, parents should be able to choose where to send their children to school, since individuals can make their own decisions!!  Have I finally found one?  Uh, no.  Just abortion.  It is only when it comes to terminating a pregnancy that the average American is smart enough to make her own decisions.
