I agree with Rudy Gersten's labeling of the NBA Olympic no-shows as "cowards". I know this subject has been discussed endlessly, so I won't ramble too much here. But, these stars (Shaq, Kevin Garnett, Jason Kidd, etc) have proven that their tough-guy image is nothing but talk and bluster. When the time came to make a statement, they ran back to their multimillion-dollar homes and comforted themselves with their rims, posters of Scarface, and enormous fish tanks (I've seen enough episodes of MTV Cribs!). Without their posse as back-up, I'm starting to think that I could take one of these guys in a fight.
