I know it's a complete waste of time, but I've thoroughly enjoyed watching the protestors in New York this afternoon. The points they make are wrought with ignorance and hate. One guy, which I found most amusing, was yelling expletives at a group of Republicans outside the police barricades along the protesting route. This went on in a fevered pitch while the C-SPAN cameras caught it all. Once the C-SPAN guy was able to ask the excited gentleman why he was protesting against Bush, his first answer was that he was doing so because "We no longer have the right to dissent."

The next best one was some woman holding a sign over her head that said "Come on Already - Evolve!", while showing that even though her arms were raised, that she indeed did have Buckwheat in a headlock. And all this time I thought razors and personal hygiene were the products of an evolved society...

It is this kind of logic that gets you killed playing in traffic.
