Arguments being what they are, I am not sufficiently informed on the situation in Venezuela to go point by point through Carter's remarks. However, I did find it peculiar that his bio line at the bottom of the article is as follows

Mr. Carter is founder and chairman of the Carter Center at Emory University.

Wouldn't one think that a mention he was a former President of the United States would be proper here? Or is the former president more proud of the Carter Center than he is of his four years in the White House?
