I want to thank Todd for the comment attached to my entry from earlier today regarding state powers and the Constitution. He is correct that no rights are granted by the government, and I chose poor wording in making my argument. I appreciate, and agree with, his correction. Our rights our protected by the government, not given by the government.

I hope that, despite my error, my argument for states' rights still holds water with the readers.
