I was disturbed by the amount of trash along the water. I do not understand the mentalty of someone who would come to a state park to enjoy the beauty of the water, trees, and wildlife and then leave behind beer cans, potato chip bags, or cigarette butts. It's so thoughtless and selfish.
If I was a tall Indian man (or an Italian actor paid to pretend I was an Indian man for a TV commercial), I would have stood on the bluff and shed a tear. Instead, Nathan and I just picked up what we could and saved our own trash for the bin where it belongs.

As a parent of a Boy Scout, we regularly visit the local parks. I find it truly disgusting how much trash gets left behind. Our scout troup will often spend a Saturday afternoon picking up trash in return for park usage. If everyone had to do this there would be much less trash left behind.
