Let me first say that I don't believe any of the draft talk. No one wants it to happen. However, I believe that mandatory service has more of a chance under a Kerry administration that is does with President Bush. The military overwhelmingly supports Bush over Kerry ... by a 55 point margin! If Kerry gets elected president, how eager will these great men and women be to reenlist? Not very. As Kerry continues to degrade our troops in these last days of the campaign, I would imagine the warm, fuzzy feelings that our servicemen have for the senator are increasingly rare.

If those in our armed forces do not want Kerry to be their commander-in-chief and therefore do not reenlist when given the opportunity, and the war on terror continues to be fought on multiple fronts (which it undoubtedly will), aren't those campaign scare tactics misplaced? President Kerry (yuck!) is the one who might be pulling the numbers from the draft lottery machine.
