This little tidbit from Kerry on the trail. He is apparently unimpressed with the new Bush "Wolf" ad

"I guarantee you I will leave no stone unturned to protect this country I love,'' Mr. Kerry said in Milwaukee, while Mr. Edwards said of the Republican ticket, "They have stooped so low now that they are using a pack of wolves running around a forest to trying to scare you."

Stooped so low? Are wolves some sort of inferior type of canine? If the Senator were campaigning for the chairmanship of PLO, perhaps stones would be considered an acceptable forms of self-defense. Here, however, things like you're voting record, sometimes best illuminated by, say, lupine, are a tad more relevant.

This New York Times article is actually a pretty good read. There's more. Well, as long as you can accept a certain amount of institutional bias. For instance

Mr. Bush also signed into law on Friday the fifth tax-cut bill of his presidency, a measure that will give tax breaks to many corporations while resolving a trade dispute with Europe.

In a sharp contrast to his practice with the earlier tax bills, which benefited individuals, Mr. Bush held no public signing ceremony for the new legislation, which will add to the budget deficit and is loaded with special-interest provisions for business.

Very conclusionary, and certainly informed (insert dripping sarcasm here) as to macroeconomics and the effects of corporate taxes on inflation, employment, dividends, stock prices, and expansion. Corporate taxes are "pass through" taxes, most often hidden in rising costs for goods and services. Add to budget deficit? Let's see if there is a follow-up paragraph detailing the effects of Kerry's plans on the budget deficit...

That was quick.

It's still worth a read - there are some good Bush lines on the naivete of the nuanced Kerry, as well as a repeat of his liberal record.
