The Democratic blogs are filled with cries about how stupid Americans are for reelecting W, and how embarrassed they are for their country. Here are some samples I found during my morning browse.

From one of the Air America blogs:

We get the leadership we deserve; those people in the 'red' states wanted leadership that reflects them ; stupid, afraid, and selffish beyond the pale. The rest of us will never defeat them because we underestimate them time and time again.

I wish they'd have their rapture already and give us back the country.....

Let the blue states keep their own money and use it to feed their hungry, education, scientific research, etc. It would teach the bible-banging reds to vote their own fiscal interests, not their retarded morals.

This is the real USA; It is reactionary, stupid and lacks genuine curiosity about anything outside its on smalll world view. They elected someone who is a reflection of them and now all the rest of us will pay the price. The funny thing is they will too eventually, but by that time it'll be too late. Too late for them and too late for the rest of us.

And from the DNC "Kicking Ass" blog:

Can't the blue states recede? -- Do you think he meant "secede"? Yeah, we're the stupid ones?

No crying. I just don't have any intention of living with people so gullible, fearful, uncaring for their fellow human beings, and just plain stupid that they'd vote this way. Bag the whole lot. Not my country.

The US is filled with areas where the average education level is below that of the 12th grade. The rural areas of any given state, the areas we needed in Ohio and other states. When the right makes such silly accusations, then retracts them, they still get heard by a number of these people and that statement might just be what that person latched on to.

Bush won because he grabbed the votes from evangelical christians, gun owners, homophobes, racists, war mongorers, millionaires, and the weak minded who he baited with his advertising campaign of fear. If that is his constituency, he can have them.

I would love to get on the Democractic Underground site, but it's been blocked to non-members. I'm interested to see how their plans for a Bush-victory revolution are coming along. I have yet to see the armed masses approaching the White House. Oh, wait. They don't own anything with which to arm themselves.

I particularly enjoyed one person who quoted the opening to the Declaration of Independence and claimed that it's time for a new revolt. Our American Revolution was won by men in the woods with guns. And, those men now vote Republican. Good luck with that, sir.

I apologize for a post with so many quotes from other people that it resembles a Dwight Lewis article. I just wanted to share some of the ridiculous postings I found. I am so tired of the elitism that comes from some on the Democratic blogs. They know what is best for us simple people of the Red States. They want to bring home the ignorant soldier who got duped into fighting for our country. They want government programs to protect us from ourselves. How comforting to know they are using their big, complex brains to look out for me!
