Unfortunately, this shock is not due to brilliant musings by my students or compelling debates on the important issues of the day. Instead, my mouth is left agape by some of the excuses students give for not doing their work. One student complained that he had to read six books for a literature class! Another young man called his professor the day after his midterm to explain he couldn't make the test because it had been raining and he rides his bike to school! Yet another scholar whined about having to read five chapters a week for Biology class! It's college, people! You should be expected to meet deadlines and do a lot of work. But, more often than not, these pathetic complaints are given merit and extensions are given. Mike Adams presents a satirical letter to his college students on this very situation. |||110384004239357653|||Students ...
