5/14/2005 04:32:00 PM|||Nathan Moore|||I hate to harp on it. I feel like the guy in the NBA who feels he should have gotten a foul call, and stands there while the game continues to be played. But the truth is, it is just so obvious, I can't help myself. On the front of CNN's web site right now is the headline Operation Matador ends with 9 U.S. Marines dead. I no way am I trivializing the sacrifice of our men. But the real story is not as prominent, that these nine brave Marines helped kill 125 insurgents and capture 39 others deemed of intelligence value.
Why would the lead be otherwise? I don't understand it. More importantly, CNN does not understand it. In war, lives are lost. The goal is to make the other side lose a lot more than you do. We are doing that on a consistent basis. By any objective evaluation, Operation Matador has been a great success. But I wouldn't know this from any headlines by CNN.|||111610664536475850|||More Bias
