Councilman At-Large David Briley mentioned in his customary smug manner in a media interview yesterday that he expected an alternate council proposed budget with a twenty cent property tax reduction from that desired by Mayor Purcell.

Lo' and behold, last night Councilman At-Large Diane Neighbors propose a budget that includes a property tax hike...twenty cents less than that proposed by Mayor Purcell.

Coincidence, or has the tax-anything-and-everything cabal been holding private sessions? I report, you decide.
