I went to the trouble to email the Corker campaign, and request his position on the Kelo v. New Haven decision regarding the de facto gutting eminent domain. Here's the response

I am very concerned about the recent Kelo decision because it places citizen’s private property rights in jeopardy. One bedrock principle in America is that the government cannot take your private property just to give it to someone else. The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution contains a very important limitation on the power of government to take property. Unfortunately, this decision essentially eliminated that safeguard by allowing the city of New London to take the homes of citizens, without their consent, and transfer their property to other private parties. It will now be important for legislators to pass laws to restore that safeguard.

I also understand that Corker discusses Kelo in most negative terms on a repeated basis whenever making a speech. I don't think there is a question as to where his vote would be if he were in the US Senate.

1. Never email anyone, especially a campaign again. Should you get an answer, those who are usually bitter will never let you live it down.

2. Also, should you receive an answer, it will be labeled as some sort of wide spread conspiracy. This conspiracy will involve the Haslams, Sundquist, and inevitably Bredesen.

3. Because of your posts, black helicopters will be circling you house. He can buy the primary, then who are they going to vote for in the general? I guarantee it won't be Ford. These kooks need to get used to hearing two words: Senator Corker7/20/2005 03:33:36 PM|||Bill Hobbs|||I gave Corker multiple chances to address the Kelo issue, via mutiple emails. Every other candidate in the Senate responded. I find it interesting that he did not.

Nice to see you managed to get a response. Let's hope he can be more responsive to all Republican voters in the future on such key issues.

It will be interesting to learn if his record as a real estate developer and city redeveloper have any conflicts with his opposition to Kelo.
