It's a shame that Retired Vice Admiral John Stockdale will likely be remembered for his "Who am I? Why am I here?" query at the 1992 vice-presidential debate. He is a military hero who earned the Medal of Honor for helping fellow American prisoners while a POW during Vietnam. Let's hope that the remembrances go beyond replays of old SNL skits and that we give this soldier a final salute.
