Nathan Moore's Thoughts
Finally
We’re back in pocket now. The lack of blogging was for good reason – Sarah was rear-ended yesterday coming home from work in Murfreesboro, and was kept overnight at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna for observation (I swear that pullout couch was made out of low grade plywood). As many of you probably know, Sarah is pregnant (about 33 weeks at last count). Due to concerns over effects of the impact to the child, she was transported to Baptist in Nashville around midday today.
It was our initial understanding due to some preliminary observations and tests that she may be kept through the weekend. Fortunately that turned out not to be the case. We got home a little over an hour ago once she was cleared by her OBGYN. Stonecrest was well-intentioned and is a new and nice facility, but it paled in comparison to the knowledgable staff and facilities at Baptist.
Anyway, long story short, Sarah is sore but fine, and the baby is strong and healthy. Now to find the bastard who fled the scene after hitting her at full speed – we already have the name as he chose to flee on foot, leaving his truck behind. From my initial conversations with a detective in Murfreesboro the prospects of this SOB having insurance are slim to none. I do hope that’s not the eventual case.

Wow. Thank the Lord. I’m glad she and the baby are fine. Pretty scary stuff. Sorry about the couch.
Any chance you can sell his truck to pay your expenses?

I’m so glad that Sarah and child are ok.
Good luck on catching the coward who hit and ran. I’m guessing the truck left behind is no great prize?
I’m with Kay..I think you should get the truck.

Sincerest condolences. Main thing is the baby and Mom are OK. You have uninsured motorist coverage, right?

We do have UM coverage, but I’d rather take it out of his hide.
Thanks for all the kind comments. But I’m not sure I want the truck – it’s not in too great shape either. We’ll see what the status is when Murfreesboro gets back to me today.

Glad to hear Sarah is OK, but especially that you made it through the night on the pullout couch. Glad to hear the future Chairman of the Elementary Republicans is good too.

We’re thinking of you over here in East Tennessee.

So glad to hear all is well all things considered. Blessings to you both ~ you received an early Christmas present; and for that, all are thankful.

All three Moore’s are in our prayers, and I hope that justice is brought to the criminal that hurt your family.

Thank God you and the baby are OK, Sarah! How scary that must have been. You ought to post the name and description of the dude that hit you so we can all be on the lookout for him.

Sarah, I’ll say a prayer for you tonight. Look forward to seeing you guys when I get back in town this weekend.
