Nope Mike - that's not what I said, and you know it. The expectations of the hard left, who feel the Democrats didn't fight hard enough are what I'm referring to, and not as "criminal", but as a client with unrealistic expectations. You may not agree with Alito's judicial philosophy, but you certainly cannot with a straight face say he is unqualified for the SCOTUS.

		<description>You forgot the third reason the "charges didn't stick", they were making a case to a biased jury (ie the US Senate).  Do you believe for a second that Judge Alito is going to the Supreme Court with an Open Mind on all issues?  He may be honest about trying to keep an open mind, but everyone has biases and I think its fairly clear that Alito is biased more towards the social conservative/pro-republican executive authority.  To the Republicans thats a good reason to vote FOR him, to the Democrats (at least not the ultra-conservatives) thats a good reason to Vote against him.  Fairly simple.</description>
