Thanks FR - I have recruited a task force to audit all straw polls across the state. I have retained Jimmy Carter to audit the results.

As for posting my phone number, I am hesitant to do so, and certainly would never do so for someone who posts anonymously. I at least expect people who comment on this blog to have the same courage of their convictions as I do.

The account of the Wilson County dinner comes from a discussion with someone I implicitly trust who saw all that I described. I received an additional private email that confirmed it as well. I know Ed Bryant enough to know that he does not lie. I am supporting Bob Corker, but there are no “lies” as I can see it perpetrated by the Bryant camp. If that’s what you think, I am truly sorry.

Besides, this blog is an open forum. You can always comment on the dinner. As I learn more, I will surely post it. On the heels of what happened in Bledsoe County, I certainly had no trouble believing the accounts out of Wilson County.

Nathan:

I hereby nominate you the official referee of all straw polls. Make sure you meticulously check each and every name and phone number on the list you receive. It is imperative that the American people can believe in these highly-scientific, highly-relevant straw polls. And, if one of the many people who voted for Van turns out not to be from Wilson County, then I expect you to declare it void. I, for one, will base who I vote for in August on the results of these crucial straw polls across the state.

Nathan, can you please post your phone number? I am a wilson county resident and would like to speak to you about the dinner this weekend. I think its a shame you are spreading the same lies as the bryant camp.

How sad is it that the Bryant camp has to spread lies, especially lies from someone that supports Bob Corker. Is it possible that Bryant and Corker are teaming up? I am a Wilson county resident and was at the Wilson county dinner. I happen to know most of the people that came to the dinner to vote for Van. They are ALL Wilson county residents. After I saw all of this nonsense I compiled a list of their names and phone numbers. None of them were college students, or high school students. The only high school students that were there were the ones in the ROTC or the ones that sang the national anthem. They were from a Christian school there IN THE COUNTY. All of the other people that came to support Van were teachers, youth ministers, and other citizens of the county, people that are respected in our county, a lot more than Ed Bryant. The defamation of Van Hilleary’s name by the Bryant and Corker camp shows why they lost BIG in that straw poll. The people of Wilson county do not care for such immoral politicking by any camp and refuse to elect Ed Bryant because of the conduct of people like you on this website.
