Nathan Moore's Thoughts

Throckmorton for Senate!

The Moose is Loose!

Senate 23 has been the reason I’ve been out-of-(blog)pocket for the last couple of days. The legalities are done. The race has begun.

Among many others, Chip Throckmorton has qualified and is running hard for Jim Bryson’s seat. We have many fine candidates, but only one superior one. If anyone has deeper roots in Williamson County, and more activity in Davidson, and has caused more Democratic politicians to lose sleep, I’d be surprised.

He is my law partner, friend, and mentor. I am supporting him completely. There are few elections I feel completely good about. This is one of them. Chip worked hard and helped Bryson win the seat in 2002, and is the most suitable heir to push forward the agenda that Bryson has begun. I look forward to the race, and if you would like to meet Chip, or want to know more about him, please feel free to email me at nmoore-at-nathanmoorelaw.com.

I’ll support whichever candidate is the best to carry Bryson’s spending control amendment forward. I like Andy Ogles, and I met Jack Johnson, who is an investment advisor at Pinnacle Financial partners (see this link, scroll down: http://www.mypinnacle.com/eletter/2005/March/) at Bryson’s petition-signing party. He seemed like a good guy and was very committed to the spending control agenda.

It’s going to be tough to choose.

    Help Throckmorton start a blog.

I’d like you to meet Chip as well. I have no doubt as to his commitment to TABOR and what Bryson started - it was Chip and Ward Baker, among a few others, who worked around-the-clock to get Bryson elected in 2002.

I wasn’t able to go the petition signing party - just the press conference. Though I do believe Chip was down there for a bit.

As for the blog - we’re working on that. My interests in the political/blog dynamic will ensure it happens. There are a handful of other items we’re taking care of first.

    Good.

BTW, I wasn’t endorsing Jack Johnson above. I’ve also met Andy Ogles and think he’s a good solid conservative, and Jeff Ford seems to be as well.

    We have a good bench!
