Nathan Moore's Thoughts
Unsurprising
Rob Huddleston notes that TeamCensor (once known as TeamAntiCorker), has banned comments from immigration activist Donna Locke, who heads the Tennesseans for Immigration Control and Reform. Gee - I’ve disagreed with Donna a lot, but I never once thought about banning her. I’ve only deleted a couple of comments period over the last year, and that was because of juvenile language. Rob notes
Perhaps the group has been taken over by John McCain and his pro-amnesty forces in the U.S. Senate. Perhaps there is a technical glitch that is not allowing Ms. Locke to comment. Perhaps this is the way TeamGOP rolls.
No matter what the cause, the result surely isn’t a desired one in the marketplace of ideas.
Why should we care, really? Rob and I are conservatives. We don’t agree on all aspects of conservatism, but we are more in common cause than not. This is an organization who last week threw away any claims of caring for conservatism. Remember this statement?
We rarely discuss issues; however we always seek party loyalty.
I believe that’s the only post I’ve commented on on TeamCensor’s site - I’m not sure whether I’ve been banned or not (comments there have been in short supply…perhaps they’ve banned almost everyone and have decided to ride off the proverbial cliff waving their flag). In short, the party comes before the ideal. That is a disgusting MO. It may sound sophisticated to some, I suppose, but I’ve never been all that fond of that sort of political depravity. You’ll have to count me as simplistic.
While we’re on the topic, and using logic (it’s a great tool, by the way), TeamCensor must then be supporting our eugenics friend James Hart for Congress, who to my knowledge has always claimed party loyalty. And they must have been sorry to see David Duke go. And State Senator Don McLeary must be banned because he was a Democrat for all those years. I could go on, but it would be reductio ad absurdum overkill.
Huh. It’s not such an admirable way to do business, really. Don’t discuss issues. Just demand party loyalty. I’m loyal to my party, but it’s because of the issues. If the Republicans morph in my lifetime to something I cannot support, I will find a new way. Some very good men had to do that. It’s foolish to maintain such rigidity.
And if Donna Locke really got banned, shame on them.
UPDATE Check that. I have been removed from the blogroll of TeamAntiCorker/Censor/WeDon’tCareAboutIssues. And my visitor numbers in the last week have noticeably increased. Thanks guys!
And watch out, Rob! You have to be on probation for having been so critical.
UPDATE UPDATE Word is now that Donna’s comment is posted. I’m not sure what the original problem was, as we all all know that TeamGOP doesn’t care about the issues.

Well, here is the most recent comment I tried to post at TeamGOP that never appeared. I entered this comment on Thursday.
“Sen. Frist today flipped to the side of Sen. Ted Kennedy in calling for a mass amnesty for illegal aliens. Frist came out today in favor of the Hagel-Martinez amnesty proposal. We hear Frist has twisted enough arms and served up enough Kool-Aid to pass this giant amensty on Friday.
Apparently Frist has agreed to pass the Democrats’ massive amnesty now that most of the Democrats have agreed to trim their amnesty slightly.
According to Roy Beck of NumbersUSA: ‘Because the Hagel/Martinez “compromise” denies the amnesty to illegal aliens who arrived less than two years ago, Frist is claiming that this bill is NOT an amnesty. In fact, that is what every Republican who is now rushing to support the bill is claiming — and that is what nearly all the Demcrats who support it are saying.’
Frist hasn’t really changed his spots. He is what he has been. And the American people are expected to continue subsidizing their own destruction. I bet they won’t.”
No amnesty was passed in the Senate on Friday. You can keep up with the developments by visiting NumbersUSA.com. As for TeamGOP, I guess this is just too much cognitive dissonance for them to deal with.
I don’t care if TeamGOP posts my comments or not. But it’s worth knowing the kind of blog they’re running over there.

They are most unimpressive, and continue to get worse almost daily. I would be surprised if they could tell us what “cognitive dissonance” means. Let’s not use too many syllables (sp…it’s late on a Saturday).
The heart of the GOP they ain’t. Not to mention the mind.
