Nathan Moore's Thoughts
Interesting…
The rather pathetic response by Mike Kopp in the aftermath of the Bill Hobbs (character) assassination has a number of comments. Here’s the rundown
Comments: 16
Removed by Administrator: 9
Removed by Author: 1
It looks like TeamCensor has a friend on the other side of the blogosphere.
Three of the comments that were removed were by Bill Hobbs. I don’t know how Blogger works, but when I do occasionally have to delete a comment, it goes away entirely - nothing is left unless I write something else in.
I wonder what the removals were for over on Kopp’s blog…anyone see them before they were axed?
UPDATE Katherine Coble seems to have.
UPDATE UPDATE Mark Rogers notes some of Kopp’s past activity during Al Gore’s failed 1988 presidential run.
FURTHER UPDATE Jay Bush takes Kopp to task. Just remember, Mike Kopp is the kind of person Bredesen keeps around his administration. That’s even more reason to get Bryson elected and Bredesen out.

I believe Blogger does not allow the blog administrator to remove someone else’s comments without a notation of that on the blog. Kopp removed my comment, the first one on that post. Apparently, he removed any that disagreed with him/were sympathetic to Bill.

Check that. My comment is still up, on a different Kopp post about that same issue. There have been so many posts on so many blogs about this issue that I can no longer keep up.

Yep, all except one.
And every comment deleted was in the vein of “the Muslim girl story is not believable.”
No one was too rude, no one used foul language. And yeah, there is a way in Blogger to completely delete a comment. But there is no way I’m gonna tell Kopp how to do it. If he’s going to exercise executive priviledge he can act like an executive and have his assistant get it done.

What I’d like to know is whether Kopp’s smear of Bill and Jim Bryson by association of the unofficial pro-Bryson blog Bill spearheaded, was part of his duties as a paid consultant for Bredesen’s re-election campaign or if he did it on his own time. Does Bredesen approve of these kinds of sleazy tactics?
