DEAN WRITES SELF ANOTHER CHECK - WIFE REVEALS “Daddy Wanted it that Way”

(Date: August 29, 2007) — In a stunning press conference this morning, Karl Dean’s wife announced that “Daddy wanted Karl to be Mayor”. “My daddy would be happy that Karl used his hard-earned money to try to buy the Mayor’s office,” said Anne. “We are hoping for a large return on investment”.

While it is not uncommon for candidates to spend their own money to win a race, Karl Dean, (and his late ex-father-in-law) is his own best source of contributions and apparently about his only source of contributions in his attempt to buy the office.

“With over $975,000 in personal “loans” to his campaign, we know that when Karl wins, we will get Daddy’s money back…with interest,” said Anne.

While the Dean camp had no official response to the unexpected disclosure by the candidates wife, they did indicate that they were prepared to write another “loan” if needed. “These loans are about creating an even playing field across Nashville, allowing the voters to get to know Karl,” said a campaign spokesperson. “It is really about getting the ‘bang for your buck’”.

The Clement campaign responded by noting that the media, much like sheep, continue to fall in-line with one another in response to the Anne’s revelation. “You won’t see this in the papers, especially ones like the Scene where a main political contributor has a conflict of interest such as Garrigan.” “Meanwhile we will continue to go out and actually try to meet with voters rather than writing “loans” to our campaign.”

Woooooooo. You people are mean. I would rather have Bob Clement running this town than Karl Dean Purcell..... Yes you could have had Kenneth Eaton who was the best man for the job but that is not how it went he was ignored and made fun of through the whole campaign and so deal with what you have to choice from.

When Bob Clement and Bill Clinton left office we had a balanced budget so lets let him clean up Nashville....

And have any of you meet Nathan Moore he is another attorney with NO personality. He is the most boring and opinionated person in Nashville so who gives a damn about what he thinks......... Sandra

The shrillness coming out of the Clement camp is completely out of desperation. My direct mail piece from the Clementistas which I received today reaffirmed it for me. Bob Clement is creating layers and layers of bureaucracy for all of his ideas coming out of his website's "Idea Factory." Karl Dean may not have been my first pick, but we need to rally and move Nashville ahead rather than have Bob Clement boner Nashville for the next four years.

[...] Nathan Moore thinks it’s Bob Clement, not Karl Dean, who may usher in a tax increase in Nashville: So Clement wants to herd and corral the homeless and expand the size of Nashville government. If anyone is setting the city up for a major tax increase, it’s Bob Clement. Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages.
