Huh? When I hear the word “football”, I don’t automatically think “surprise” or “unanticipated activity”.

Speaking as one of “the others”, did you know that when we peel back our skin you will see green scales? We answer to a warlock named Garthon. I know “the others” can seem mysterious and secretive, but do not be afraid. I am hear to answer all of your questions about our kind.

Hi Sarah,
Whew, quite a post! I’m particularly puzzled about your reaction to the NPR woman. Obviously, you people vote for minorities, but you’re not surprised there’s some skepticism, right? Race was one of many possible reasons for Clinton’s win in New Hampshire, which (in reference to a previous entry) is why it was a much bigger story than the Republican numbers matching the pre-election polls. Not that the coverage should have been 95-5. Or did you think “the others” was an odd choice of words? In any case, for a virtuous conservative, your response seemed a wee bit over the top. None of my business, but weren’t you sunnier as a liberal? Come on back, Sarah! There’s plenty of room over here. Lieberman took his jomentum and is playing with his new friends and no one wants to sit next to Gravel.

p.s. As much as I love Coach Ralph, maybe it’s for the best that he won’t be running the offense next year. Tell li’l Catherine not to worry about the basketball team. I hope she saw the Carolina game. This season reminds me of 2001. Uhhh, maybe that’s too much of a stretch…

Hi, Sudeep. Great to hear from you! Yes, I think that “the others” is as odd as “you people vote for minorities”. That was the point of my post, nothing more.
I do understand plenty of reason for skepticism towards both parties at this point. Perhaps that is one reason for my diminishing sunniness.
I don’t buy the idea that race is a significant factor in who finds victory on primary night, so I wasn’t stunned when Obama won Iowa and I wasn’t buying the murmurs of racism when Clinton won New Hampshire. The overwhelming number of voters, regardless of state of residence, are not racists.
GO TERPS! Taking down number one in their house!
