Nathan Moore's Thoughts
McCain By One
According to Rasmussen’s latest poll, John McCain outpaces Barack Obama by a point, with an impressive fifteen point lead among “unaffiliated voters”.
Of course, the election is nowhere near over, and McCain’s lead is insignificant statistically. The important point to be made by even this one poll is that the Messiah has yet to break away – in fact, he is, at best, tied with John McCain. He has taken the media blessed holy water that has in buckets been showered upon him and miraculously transformed it directly into vinegar.
This is all very peculiar, as Obama is, supposedly, so great and grand. The next logical progression rests in the “why” – why is someone, who is so broadly adored by the gatekeepers of world journalism, having trouble dispatching the once-maverick John McCain, who by all accounts, has waged a less-than-impressive campaign to this point? The underpinning truth of modern American liberal philosophy, that their existence is justified because the people are too stupid to take care of themselves, offers an answer that we will soon see, blaming the voters for not getting it. One can expect MSNBC and The New York Times to lead that charge (to its credit, The Washington Post has largely taken a more rational view of the Obama candidacy). Everything and anything will be blamed but the Messiah himself. To admit otherwise would be to admit the saviour is a flawed being.
Obama is feeling this heat, having already drastically altered his campaign platform on off-shore drilling. It is only a matter of time before he changes his hitherto ridiculous position on surrender in Iraq. The liberal from Illinois will soon become the ultimate triangulator, who is already proving he is willing to say absolutely anything to get elected.
If I were an Obama fan (shudder), I would be quite concerned that both Dukakis and Kerry were doing better by miles at this point in their respective campaigns for the presidency, against candidates who represented much more popular incumbencies, which directly contrasts with the engineered perception by the Obama campaign that John McCain is Wx3. Either that is not sticking, or Obama is less a Messiah and much more a false prophet.

[...] Nathan Moore wonders when, if Obama does not begin to pull further away from Barack Obama in the polls, the media will start to blame the American people for rejecting the Chosen One: This is all very peculiar, as Obama is, supposedly, so great and grand.
