’cause this commenter at The Tennessean sure doesn’t.

Some well-informed voter who goes by “SouthernPub” posed the question “Losing what federal funds?” when a fellow commenter mentioned that whole sticky Title VI issue that makes English Only almost completely impotent. I provided my own explanation of the federal issue and received this response:

I think your prediction of losing federal funds is flawed and filled with half truths. I plan on voting for this measure.

Great! Another educated voter heading to the polls on Thursday.

How many people are going voting for English Only because they think it will require immigrants to use English? It won’t!!!!

The kneejerk emotional reaction to this measure as opposed to a reasoned understanding of what will and will not happen if it happens is so frustrating.
