Nathan Moore's Thoughts
Fear and Loathing Inside the Beltway

if you don’t pass it, I will make you afraid. very afraid.
President Barack Obama is now pulling out all the stops. You have nothing to fear but fear itself, except if you don’t pass this pork-laden stimulus bill, then you have a lot to fear. So says the president in The Washington Post
today
This recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse.
Ah yes, the fear card. If the federal government does not spend a massive amount of money in the most random fashion possible over the next two years, we will lose 500 million
5 million jobs – really?
I reject these theories, and so did the American people when they went to the polls in November and voted resoundingly for change.
I apologize profusely if my laughter at the whole “change” thing is actually audible from within this blog post itself. It’s more of a knowing chortle. Not really a laugh, actually. Laughing is rude. Chortling is endearing.
A couple things here. First, I do hope this tactic by Obama permanently silences those on the left who attack every Republican proposal as somehow playing on people’s fears (I mean, we were actually attacked by terrorists, you know?). This is a feed-quality, hack effort at salesmanship.
Second, it truly must takes years of training in mental gymnastics to convince oneself that this amalgamation of pork is going to stimulate much of anything. The employment of fear to pass it rises to a seldom before seen level of political arrogance – the sad irony here is that if we don’t pass this bucket of lard onto the next generation we’d actually all be better off. However, if you are one of those who thinks the situation is so dire (ed: it certainly isn’t great), and that this “stimulus” bill is the solution (ed: remember, it’s not polite to laugh at people), it may be time to re-up that Jim Jones Fan Club membership.*
* if you actually snort the Kool-Aid powder, the effect is much more powerful. Then again, so is the crash afterward.

It appears that BO has showed his incompetence faster than any other President since Hoover…..Change we can be amazed at….
Let’s hurry up on this stimulus……because the longer people look at it …..even Dems…. the dumber it looks…..latest polls show that over 50% of the public not only dot’t like it, they believe it will HURT the country…….We need a “I’m mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore” attitude…..
and I think it’s coming……
